How Challenges and Support Shape My Business Journey

I just finished participating in the Stretch Yourself Challenge, led by the awesome Kelly McCausey (Love People + Make Money). This month-long challenge is designed to inspire content creation, which is especially valuable for a new business like mine. The Morning Motivation sessions, weekly group meetings, and regular emails were invaluable support for me. I got so much done!

One of the best features of the challenge is the opportunity it provides to form groups of three who take turns coaching each other. It’s amazing how many diverse perspectives you can gain from individuals you may have never thought to ask for help. This collaborative aspect truly enhances the learning experience.

Participating in the Stretch Yourself Challenge made me reflect on the broader topic of looking for support in the face of personal challenges. We all require a support system of people who can lend a sympathetic ear, offer fresh perspectives when needed, motivate us, and help us momentarily step out of our current situations. Where do we find these crucial sources of support? Mine are family, friends, and online groups. Who are yours?

In addition to my participation in the Stretch Yourself Challenge, I am starting the Ultimate Blog Challenge today (Ultimate Blog Challenge). The challenge is to write a blog post every day. While I’m committed to attempting that, I’ve decided not to post daily. I don’t want to put that much pressure on myself, so I expect to publish 3 or 4 a week.

Challenges like these serve as powerful motivators for me, as long as I don’t fall into the trap of expecting perfection from myself. I know I will be energized and inspired as long as I do what I can and take care of myself!

The Measuring Stick That Makes Every Rest Feel Like Failure

There’s a measuring stick a lot of us grew up with, and most of us never thought to question it.

It goes something like this: your value as a person is tied to what you produce. What you achieve. What you can point to and say, I did that. The degree on the wall. The promotion. The marathon medal. The
